在CFA的体系里，只有美国国债free of default risk (无违约风险)根据发行的时间，国债可按照发行时间进一步分类：

（1）On-the-Run Issues近一期发行的国债：most recently auctioned；more actively  traded；more liquid

（2）Off-the-run issues过往发行的国债：replaced by a more recently auctioned issue.


【Treasury Strips】

Zero coupon securities of various maturities. 拆零国库券

（1）Coupon Strips: created from coupon payments stripped from the original security

（2）Principal Strips: bond and note principal payment with the coupons stripped off.
